Areas of Practice: Outpatient therapy with adolescents (eleven and older), adults and geriatrics is provided with attention to cultural variables impacting treatment and functioning. Dr. Pohl is experienced in working with individuals who identify as GLBT and in incorporating non-Christian spiritual beliefs into therapy. Psychological assessments include, but are not limited to, evaluating intellectual functioning and pre-operative bariatric evaluations.
Areas of special interest include the utilization of EMDR to treat trauma, including those experiencing dissociative phenomena, treating co-occurring disorders and in providing DBT-focused individual therapy.
